Our current expulsion rate is less than .01% and our goal is to keep this rate as one of the lowest in the state. The
explanation for the low level is the cascade of interventions designed and implemented at both the site and
district levels. With the hiring of numerous mental health counselors at the elementary, middle and high schools
in conjunction with the work of the site administrators, site counselors, site nurses, and site psychologists,
students needs have been better met. We will continue with this model.
Finally, in an effort to minimize redundancy and to establish more precise LCAP goals, goals 18 and 19 were
condensed to reflect new Goal 7.
