Increase integrated English language Development $80,000 Several secondary teachers participated in professional $80,000
support at secondary schools Supplemental development that emphasized integrated ELD and
supported ELD instruction across the curriculum. This
included both ELD teachers and core content teachers.
EL Instructional Specialists, Coordinator, English Learner
Services, and Coordinator, Learning Support Services,
trained, team taught, co‐planned, and supported teachers
and administrators with successfully implementing
integrated English Language Development support.
Further, through the quarterly meetings with Academic
Language (AL) Mentors, professional development on
integrating EL strategies in all content subjects were
presented by ELD Instructional specialists and
Coordinators. AL Mentors then supported teachers at
their site in integrating strategies to increase achievement
of ELs.
At the elementary level, literacy learning is supported
Scope of service: LEA wide through the universal screening and progress monitoring
of DIBELS Next. The literacy and comprehension skills are
