Running Springs Elementary School has been awarded the recognition as a Common Sense Media Certified School
Orange, CA – July 2017 – Orange Unified is proud to announce that Running Springs Elementary School has been awarded the recognition as a Common Sense Media Certified School. We applaud the faculty and staff of Running Springs for embracing digital citizenship as an important part of their students' education. Running Springs deserves praise for giving its students the foundational skills they need to compete and succeed in the 21st-century workplace and participate ethically in society at large.
"We're honored to be recognized as a Common Sense Digital Citizenship Certified School," said Anne Truex, the Executive Director of Elementary Education. "By preparing our students to use technology safely and responsibly, we are providing them unlimited opportunities to maximize and personalize their learning.”
Running Springs joins Fletcher Elementary school, who earned their certification last year.
Common Sense is a national nonprofit organization dedicated to helping kids and families thrive in a world of digital media and technology.
