Hour of Code and Computer Science Week Celebrated Districtwide
Orange, CA – December 19, 2016 – The Week of December 4 through December 10 of 2017 is designated as Computer Science Week. Orange Unified School District participated in this worldwide event by supporting an Hour of Code.
Students across the District took time with the teachers to learn how coding in computer science can lead to college and career opportunities. These lessons included high school students creating varying graphic designs through coding and Scratch, fifth graders programming with Javascript and Python, using Kodable to break down language barriers with students learning English, and third graders using Scratch to design and animate their names.
Orange USD is proud to have introduced students to the power of coding and how it can impact their future.
