ORANGE, CA — May 18, 2015 — Orange Unified School District is proud to announce that Nancy Clark, Ernie Gonzalez, and Ashley Pedroza were selected as 2015 Region 17 (Orange County) Administrators of the Year by the Association of California School Administrators (ACSA). They were each honored at ACSA’s annual Celebration of Excellence for their leadership skills, professionalism, creativity, innovation, and commitment to a quality education.
Mrs. Nancy Clark has been a dedicated and effective confidential executive secretary and ACSA member since 2003. She believes that “we can make a difference,” and she strives to create a culture of collaboration between all staff and community, advocating for all educational programs.
Mr. Ernie Gonzalez is in his fifth year as principal of Orange High School and has established himself as a positive and caring leader. He believes that given a strong instructional program, all students can learn, and that it is our responsibility to find the right balance of support and challenge for students in their pursuit of post-secondary goals. It was announced at the last Board of Education meeting that Gonzalez will be OUSD’s Executive Director of Human Resources, effective July 1.
Mrs. Ashley Pedroza has been an incredible asset to the Orange Unified School District as the Coordinator of Student Assessment and Educational Measurement, having demonstrated great skill and competence in organization, data analysis and technology management. She truly cares about the education of our children and helps to build the leadership capacity for each individual principal and teacher.
Orange Unified congratulates these three outstanding administrators who were recognized at ACSA’s 25th annual Celebration of Excellence, held at the Irvine Marriott on May 11.
